REMEMBERING KEN DURLING
Junior Bach remembers the wonderful gifts of our recent Music Director, Ken Durling.
Ken lost his life in a tragic automobile accident in April 2007. A devoted musician, pedagogue and composer, Ken brought enthusiasm and energy to leading the Junior Bach festival during its past two seasons and during his long tenure on the board of directors. He loved watching our young musicians develop from one year to the next, and he loved talking to them at the workshops, orientations, auditions, and concerts.

Our hearts go out in sympathy to his family members and the other communities whose lives he touched, including GraceNorthChurch, The Crowden School, Black Pine CircleSchool, HeadRoyceSchool, and Holy Names University Music Department.
All of us in Junior Bach will miss Ken tremendously. The 2008 Festival was dedicated to his memory.
